1. Who We Are
MushOps is a software product of Lapland’s Wild Paws. MushOps is not a separate legal entity.
The operator of MushOps and, where applicable, data controller is:

Where Lapland’s Wild Paws determines the purposes and means of processing personal data in connection with MushOps, Lapland’s Wild Paws acts as data controller.
Where Lapland’s Wild Paws processes personal data through MushOps solely on behalf of a kennel, company or other customer, the customer may act as data controller and Lapland’s Wild Paws as data processor.
2. Personal Data We May Process
Depending on how you use MushOps, we may process:
Account information: name, email address, account identifier, authentication information and user role.
Kennel and organisation information: kennel name, business information, contact information, subscription information and authorised users.
Staff information: names, roles, task assignments, permissions and operational information concerning kennel managers, guides, dog handlers or other personnel.
Billing and subscription information: subscription plan, billing status and transaction information. Payment credentials may be processed directly by the applicable payment provider or app store rather than by Lapland’s Wild Paws.
Communications: support requests, messages and other communications.
Technical and security information: where applicable, IP address, device type, operating system, application version, browser information, authentication events, timestamps, diagnostic information and security logs.
Customer content: notes, documents and other information users choose to store in MushOps.
Information relating solely to an animal is generally not personal data under the GDPR. However, information may constitute personal data where it also relates to an identified or identifiable natural person.
3. Why We Process Personal Data
We may process personal data to provide and administer MushOps, create and manage accounts, manage subscriptions and payments, enable collaboration between authorised users, provide customer support, communicate service-related information, maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose technical problems, comply with legal obligations and develop or improve MushOps where permitted by law.
4. Legal Bases
Depending on the processing activity, our legal basis may be:
Performance of a contract where processing is necessary to provide MushOps or administer a subscription.
Legal obligation where processing is required to comply with applicable accounting, tax or other legal requirements.
Legitimate interests where processing is necessary for security, fraud prevention, customer support, service administration or reasonable development of MushOps, provided that those interests are not overridden by the rights and freedoms of the individual.
Consent where consent is required, including for certain optional cookies or marketing activities.
5. Customer-Controlled Personal Data
Kennels and other customers may enter personal data relating to employees, guides, dog handlers or other users into MushOps.
In such situations, the customer generally determines why that information is processed and is responsible for ensuring that an appropriate legal basis exists.
Where Lapland’s Wild Paws processes such information solely on the customer’s documented instructions, Lapland’s Wild Paws acts as a data processor.
A separate Data Processing Agreement may apply.
6. Mobile Applications and App Stores
MushOps may be distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store.
When a MushOps mobile application is installed or used, certain technical information may be processed where necessary to provide, secure and maintain the application.
Depending on the technical implementation, this may include device information, operating system, application version, IP address, authentication information, diagnostic information and security-related events.
Google and Apple may separately process information relating to downloads, purchases, subscriptions and the use of their respective services in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Service Providers
Lapland’s Wild Paws does not sell personal data.
Personal data may be processed by service providers where necessary to operate MushOps, including providers of hosting, infrastructure, authentication, email, payment processing, app distribution, security and technical services.
Such providers may process personal data only in accordance with applicable law and applicable contractual arrangements.
Personal data may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. International Data Transfers
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, an appropriate legal transfer mechanism will be used where required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional safeguards where necessary.
9. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.
Account and subscription information is generally retained while the account or contractual relationship remains active and afterwards where necessary for legal, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes.
Customer-controlled data is retained according to the applicable service arrangements and deletion procedures.
Certain transaction and accounting records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.
Access to customer data is restricted according to operational requirements and applicable permissions.
11. Account and Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their MushOps account and associated personal data.
Where account creation is available through a MushOps mobile application, an in-app method will be provided for initiating account deletion in accordance with applicable platform requirements.
Account deletion may also be requested through the MushOps website.
When an account is deleted, associated personal data will be deleted or anonymised unless continued retention is required or permitted by applicable law.
If an individual user belongs to a kennel or organisation, deletion of that individual user account does not automatically result in deletion of data controlled by the kennel or organisation.
12. Your Rights
Subject to the requirements and limitations of the GDPR, you may have the right to access your personal data, request correction or deletion, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing, receive certain personal data in a portable format and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Where personal data was entered into MushOps by an employer, kennel or other organisation acting as data controller, requests relating to that data may need to be directed to that organisation.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten – IMY) or another competent supervisory authority.
13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The MushOps website and applications may use technologies necessary for authentication, security and basic operation.
Optional analytics, marketing or other non-essential technologies requiring consent will only be used in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
Further information will be provided through the applicable cookie information or consent mechanism where required.
14. Children
MushOps is designed for kennel operations and is not directed at children.
We do not knowingly offer MushOps directly to children who cannot legally enter into the relevant agreement themselves.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to MushOps, its technical infrastructure, our processing activities or applicable law.
The current version will be published on the MushOps website.
